A beautiful day for a beautiful wedding in the Vail Valley. A former bride of mine and coworker of Elizabeth, Aryn Schliting, played wedding day coordinator and did a fantastic job. Wedding at the Vail Chapel and reception at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail only interrupted by a truck drive up to the top of the mountain for some money shots. Mike from Rising Moon Video tagged along and did a bang up job. The groom and groomsmen surprised the guests right after a slideshow with a glowstick performance. Can’t say I’ve seen that before at a wedding but it was pretty cool. Luckily no children or animals were harmed in process.
I shot Kellie and Jason a couple months before their wedding in September. We decided to stick with an urban setting since their wedding was going to be at the Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp near Westcliffe CO. Westcliffe is just past the other side of you can’t get there from here. A young and beautiful couple totally in love. We had a blast at the wedding and I will be posting pics soon.
This series of five were printed on cotton paper and measured 10 x 30 inches. When I saw the condo they lived in I knew exactly what I was going to do with some of their images.
I had the good fortune in photographing this beautiful family from NYC. We met up in Cordillera and hit a couple of my favorite spots. Their daughter Autumn was as patient and cooperative as she was beautiful. I hope to see you guys again next year.
Joy works in my wife’s group and is getting married to Todd this spring back in her home state of Alabama. Nothing like the south in March. I wish you guys well and maybe we will see you in sweet home Alabama.
I’m actually making good on my New Year’s resolution before the year even starts. Time to catch up on some blog posts. Elizabeth was hoping she was “cute enough” to make it on the blog. Please.

Erica & Ryan
Our neighbors kids Erica and Ryan with Zeena the wonderdog. Zeena misses playing with our crew since their leash only mandate a couple months ago. How much fun is that? Thanks for the cookies and Merry Christmas to you as well.
I love this couple. We had an awesome shoot in Leadville on a beautiful day. I think I want to make a movie here one day. I wish them the best of luck in the future for whatever comes there way. Thanks guys!!

Deena & Cody, Leadville CO.
I love shooting in Leadville. Or Pb, as the locals have designated. So much old, rustic, rural Colorado I think I could shoot here every day this summer and never shoot at the same location twice. Deena and Cody were nice enough to let me talk them into wearing attire a little more formal than required for an eSession. Thanks guys!! See you in October. And don’t worry about the wedding day. Jen Hammond will have a handle on all things as usual.
It was awesome finally meeting Lauren and Dan after finally settling on a date we could all get together. Of course the thunderstorms tagged along as well. After a brief wait we got down to business. I’m looking forward to their wedding in Keystone.
A great face and a really nice guy. I forgot a cable I needed to do some three light setups I have been wanting to do but managed this portrait with the help of a white kayak. Jason works with and travels with the academy located in West Virginia. A school of just 13 kids they travel the globe and squeeze in some books as well. I’m talking China, Costa Rica, New Zealand. Where was this when I was a teenager? They are in Glenwood Springs for the national trials next weekend.
